New Venture Implementation

Exam Schedule:
Both exams are administered in the testing lab.
Exam One: June 13 - Opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 9:00PM
Exam Two: July 13 - Opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 9:00PM
Course Objectives:
One of the most exciting and satisfying activities in business is to start a new venture. In this course students will learn how to prepare a comprehensive strategy for launching a new business. The vehicle for achieving this is the preparation of a business plan based on an opportunity that students have selected.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course students will be able to:
- Summarize the benefits of having a business plan
- Analyze and apply fundamental elements of a business plan including industry and market analysis, marketing plan, management and company structure, operation plan, design and development plan, and financial plan. (recommend 5yr. pro formas, clear funding strategy, exit strategy)
- Analyze the evolution of a business plan as the venture grows.
- Produce a professionally written and verbally presented business plan for lenders/investors
